Chilean government condemns the events that occurred in the Republic of Turkey
In regards to the events that occurred in the Republic of Turkey, the Chilean Government, faithful to the principles of democracy and respect for human rights, condemns any use of force against the democratic order.
The Chilean government calls for the rapid normalization of the situation in Turkey, a country with which it has maintained historical ties of friendship. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will follow the development of the situation closely, and is ready to assist fellow resident citizens or those visiting the country.
